Emmerdale will air a scene next week involving Belle Dingle that could tease the end for Tom King is on the way.

The villain, who has been abusing his wife for months, could finally face a comeuppance amid a deadly twist next week. Tom has isolated and manipulated his wife for months, with the soap confirming a coercive control storyline.

More recently he’s turned violent, and when Belle fell pregnant she decided she could not go through with the pregnancy. Not ready to have a child but knowing Tom would force her to have the baby, she had a secret abortion.

Ahead of Tom finding out the truth in upcoming scenes, a new teaser clip for next week reveals the moment Belle admits the truth to someone. Belle confides in someone for the first time about her miscarriage lie, before making a realisation about her marriage.

The person in question is Belle’s Mental Health Care Coordinator Rachel, and what she hears from Belle leaves her concerned. Viewers will see Rachel appear to cotton on to Tom’s behaviour, advising Belle to take some time away from the village.

Prior to this, a scene shows the moment Belle avoids Rachel after her sudden visit. After trying to drop the conversation, she ends up confessing to her that she had a termination, and did not suffer a miscarriage.

It’s this confession that will lead Rachel to be concerned for Belle, and with her soon uncovering Tom’s manipulative behaviour. Could this be the moment someone has their eye on Tom, and could his mask finally be slipping?

Perhaps this is the moment Belle needed to realise his behaviour was not right, with Tom’s downfall possibly sealed. It comes amid fans fearing Belle’s mistake will lead to him working out her lie.

In the latest episode, she drove to the hospital and bought a parking ticket before waiting in the car. She then took the rest of the tablets and waited before calling Tom to meet her at home.

Belle timed it so that the parking ticket would back her story that she went to the hospital, and stayed there before returning home, wanting Tom to think she was seen by a doctor. As she returned home she broke down in tears as she told Tom she had suffered a miscarriage.

But what Belle had yet to realise was the parking ticket from the day she visited the clinic was still in the car. With Tom seen in the car at the end of the episode, the camera panned to the very ticket that was now on the floor – so will he find it?
