2. Aaron speaks out

In a sombre conversation with Moira, Chas and Charity at the hospital, Aaron reveals more about what he knows regarding John’s reign of terror. There’s much more to it than the villagers ever would have suspected – poor Aaron probably won’t know where to start…
3. Cain returns

Cain’s recent trip away from the Dales with John seemingly ended without incident (a first for John!). He returns to the hospital unscathed after helping John to leave, and is completely unaware that anything is amiss.
The village bad boy is shellshocked to hear the suspicions surrounding John’s behaviour. When he mentions that he took John back to the cottage, Charity frets that the ruthless villain went back to deal with Mack…
4. Victoria seeks answers

After finally realising that Robert was right all along, Victoria chats to him on the phone and sheepishly asks for more information on John’s crimes. Robert’s already been through all of this once, but as sceptical Vic was dismissive the first time, she needs a quick refresher…
Victoria also reaches out to Paddy, wondering whether the transcripts of John’s calls to the helpline could throw up any clues.
5. The search for Mack takes an alarming turn
ITVPolice arrive at the cottage where Aaron and John were staying and go searching for the nearby bunker. Charity joins them at the scene, determined to be there for her husband.
When the police finally find the underground lair, though, they’re disturbed to find that Mack is nowhere to be seen! So, where on earth is he? All will be revealed as the episode progresses…
6. Dylan faces a tough interview
