The unlikely duo recently crossed paths when Liam was being terrorised by some boys at the precinct. Mick, noticing the situation, stepped in to help the teen and warned off the muggers.

Meanwhile, Mick and Liam’s stepdad Gary Windass also seemed to be getting on well, which led to Gary buying the builder’s yard and employing Mick.

However, next week’s episodes will see the budding friendships take a turn when Liam and Jake visit the builder’s yard for some work experience.

Though things start off well for Liam, he soon becomes the victim of a childish prank led by Mick, and is left covered in cement. After laughing off the incident, the teenager decides to get his own back.

Mick is furious when he discovers Liam laced his tea with washing powder and is determined to make him pay. He locks scared Liam in the tool shed, leaving him to call out for help.

Later, Mick releases Liam and sends him to get bacon sandwiches, but Liam fails to return to the yard. Gary and Maria find him skulking in the café and Liam reveals what Mick did to him.

When horrified Gary approaches the yard, he finds Mick looking for something in the shed. Gary gives the bully a taste of his own medicine, locking him in before telling Mick he’s fired.

After escaping the shed, Mick corners Gary outside and punches him to the ground. Gary grabs an empty bottle and staggers to his feet, ready for a fight. The pair are stopped by DC Kit Green, who orders Gary to drop the bottle and let Mick go.

Later, Maria and Mick’s wife Lou argue over the incident, with each of them believing their own husband’s version of events. Accused of corruption by Gary and Maria, Kit paints Gary as the villain, reminding him that he was armed with a bottle.

Coronation Street is set to air a special flashback episode, which will explore the complex history of the police detective. The storyline will reveal Kit’s past connection to Mick and Lou, and could explain the reasons behind his recent actions.

While Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle faces betrayal, secrets, and emotional chaos on screen, the man behind the role—Danny Miller—has never looked happier in real life. The beloved soap actor has shared a deeply moving update that has fans in tears for all the right reasons: his growing family. Just weeks after welcoming his third child, Danny took to Instagram to post a joyful holiday snap with wife Steph and their children—marking their first trip away as a family of five. Beaming from the pool with their two older kids, Albert and Edith, Danny captioned the post with simple yet powerful words: “Family: where life begins and love never ends.” It was a moment of pure contrast to the heartache unfolding for Aaron in Emmerdale. On the show, Aaron has had a turbulent 2025: still reeling from Anthony Fox’s death, navigating a tense marriage to John Sugden, and facing the emotional return of his ex-husband, Robert. Viewers know that while Aaron appears loyal to John for now, he remains dangerously unaware of John’s darkest secret—John accidentally killed Nate Robinson while trying to “save” him. It’s only a matter of time before Aaron’s world unravels again. But off-screen? Danny is basking in peace and gratitude. The actor, who made his Emmerdale debut as Aaron in 2008, has tackled countless emotionally wrenching scenes over the years—from struggles with identity to heartbreak and loss. And yet, fans say his latest real-life post shows more joy than even his happiest fictional moment. Holding his wife, with children clinging to his side and a newborn in their arms, Danny’s happiness is radiant. Just days earlier, Danny had posted a heartwarming welcome to the newest member of the family: “Welcome Vincent Miller. Born 10/07/25, Weighing 8lb 8oz. We could not be happier with our family of 5.” The video of Albert and Edith meeting their baby brother for the first time only added to the emotional impact—brother and sister walking hand-in-hand toward their mum, their eyes filled with curiosity and wonder. The response online was overwhelming. Fans flooded the comments with love: “Gorgeous wee family, it’s heartwarming to see”, one wrote. Another added, “Love watching your family grow.” And perhaps the most touching message of all came from Danny himself, just days before: “Never in my life did I think I’d find happiness of this level… so here’s a picture to describe it for me.” While Aaron Dingle may be on the verge of heartbreak, Danny Miller is living a chapter filled with love, legacy, and new beginnings. It’s a beautiful reminder that even when fiction brings tears, real life can offer peace.
