One week before her 46th birthday on August 10, the Home and Away star gave birth to a baby boy.

It’s the first child for Emily and her partner, radio executive Paul Jackson, who has three children from a previous relationship.

Emily announced her pregnancy in February. The news came after the couple spent years trying to conceive, going through multiple IVF procedures before getting a positive result.

“I very much thought it couldn’t happen and I was too old,” Emily told The Sunday Telegraph. “I thought it would be impossible, but it isn’t.

“I’d given up, really. I thought I had tried every avenue that was available to us. My advice is to not give up if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole process.”
