The drama is set to continue in Coronation Street next week with an unexpected arrest, shock kiss and lies which look set to unravel.
A loved-up Todd Grimshaw tells Billy Mayhew that Theo Silverton is finally at ease with his sexuality and is even suggesting they get their own place.
But when Billy overhears Theo telling an old workmate that he’s got a new woman in his life, Billy confronts Theo. Theo explains his old mate is prejudiced and not important enough to merit the lowdown on his personal life.
When Theo reveals Noah collared him in the Bistro, intent on saving his soul, Todd’s furious to realise that Theo’s being harassed. As Theo heads to the community centre, an incensed Todd reads the leaflet before arriving with Billy to find Noah practising conversion therapy on a member of his congregation.
When Noah reveals that Theo is somewhere safe, Todd lashes out, sending him sprawling. Unbeknown to Todd, one of the followers captures the altercation on their phone.
It’s not long before a police officer calls at No.11 and explains to Todd that they need to take him in for questioning as Noah has reported him for assault.

Later, when Theo reveals that he’s planned a romantic movie night in a bid to cheer him up, Todd’s touched, especially when Theo suggests it’s time they got a place of their own.
Elsewhere, when a hotel guest makes a complaint to Debbie Webster, she bites back rudely and the astounded guest films her on his phone.
Ryan Connor manages to diffuse the situation and gets the guest to delete the footage, but he’s stunned when Debbie kisses him full on the lips by way of thanks.
Ryan later confides in Ronnie Bailey that he’s worried about Debbie’s dementia and tells him about the kiss. But as Ronnie reels, Debbie’s oblivious.

Meanwhile, clocking Carl Webster with a split lip and bruises, Debbie realises he’s in some kind of trouble and asks how much he needs.
Soon, Ryan warns Debbie that he was only looking out for her and that her next assistant manager might not be quite so understanding.

A passing Glenda Shuttleworths insists on taking him to hospital, where Kevin tells Carl it was a false emergency and he’s fine. But as Kevin reveals that he saw him in cahoots with the woman who stole the car, Carl retorts they’ve both got some explaining to do as he spoke to the doctor and knows he’s been lying about his cancer. Is Abi about to find out the truth?
