Next week on Coronation Street, sheer panic sweeps through the cobbles as a child vanishes — and the cause may be closer to home than anyone dares to admit. In a week that spirals from secret affairs to missing children, the stakes for Tyrone, Abi, and Steve couldn’t be higher.
It all begins with a seemingly innocent gesture. Steve McDonald, newly single and desperate to rebuild his life, moves into No.9 with girlfriend Cassie Plummer. Trying to prove his usefulness to his new housemates, Steve offers to babysit young Dorin Pop — Tyrone’s son. But what was meant to be a kind favor turns into a nightmare.
While Steve dozes off in front of the TV, Dorin disappears.
When Steve wakes up, the panic hits instantly — Dorin is gone, and no one has any idea where the child could be. Rumors swirl that the boy may have wandered off, or worse, gotten trapped inside a discarded fridge recently taken from the area. As Tyrone and the rest of the street scramble to search, guilt begins to bubble beneath the surface — because someone else had plans to sneak into No.9 that day.
That someone is Carl Webster — Abi’s lover and, shockingly, Kevin Webster’s brother.
Abi, juggling guilt and desperation, is on the brink. Earlier that day, she had convinced Kevin she had a migraine, using the excuse to sneak away with Carl for a secret rendezvous. But things took a turn when she learned that Hope Dobbs had taken a picture that not only showed Tyrone’s exposed builder’s bum — but also captured her and Carl in the background, a damning snapshot of their affair.
Kevin, blissfully unaware of the betrayal, casually asks to see the photo — and Abi turns white with fear.
Though she manages to deflect, convincing Tyrone to return the phone to Hope if she deletes the photo, things quickly spiral. Hope, being Hope, announces that she’s still planning to post it online. Abi panics, instructing Carl to sneak into No.9 and delete the evidence himself.
But in the dead of night, Carl’s stealth mission collides with disaster. Steve is asleep on the sofa. Dorin is missing. And nobody knows what really happened inside that house.
Did Carl’s break-in inadvertently lead to Dorin’s disappearance? Did the child wake up, frightened by a stranger in the house, and wander off? Or is something even more sinister unfolding?
Meanwhile, Steve’s guilt and terror are mounting. Tyrone is devastated, Cassie is furious, and the entire neighborhood is sent into a frenzy. As Abi silently prays her affair stays buried, the focus shifts to finding the missing child before it’s too late.
