Home and Away will air a major breakthrough for Jo Langham as she gains clarity on her mother’s death.
Jo has been going through a difficult time in recent weeks, after reuniting with her sister Lacey Miller. Though their father David Langham tried to repair his broken family, his efforts proved futile when Lacey accused Jo of killing their mother.
On the other hand, if Jo was responsible for her mother’s death, she believes she might finally get some answers.
The nurse visits David at the police station, telling him she wants to take him to lunch. But when the sergeant enquires about her real motive for the impromptu visit, she reveals her hypnotherapy plan.
“David is wary of hypnotherapy, as it may bring up the trauma of that day for Jo,” explained Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, who plays David. “She already suffers from PTSD and has panic attacks. Will this trigger that even more?”

When it becomes clear that Jo is going through with her decision, David has no other option but to support her, and allows the session to take place at the station where he can observe.
The hypnotherapist Amelia guides Jo through a visualisation, where she is soon confronted with the images of the car accident.
While under hypnosis, Jo becomes agitated as she begins to recall the incident. She sees another car zooming towards hers, causing her to swerve off the road, before noticing the number plate of a grey Mercedes.
When Jo wakes up, she is confident that the accident – and her mother’s death – were not her fault. But whose car does the number plate belong to, and will Lacey believe her?
