Oscar Branning will get a love interest on EastEnders as a newcomer arrives in Walford, though somebody will attempt to scupper his romance.
Oscar has been a menace since his return to Albert Square in July, with the bad-boy’s biggest low being his attack on Patrick Trueman as he desperately searched for money to make ends meet.

While he feels downbeat by the breakdown of his friendship with Patrick, Oscar’s spirits will be lifted next week following the arrival of Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness), who comes to East London in search of a job.
In scenes set to air across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (23, 24 and 25 October), Jasmine will approach Cindy Beale at The Albert in search of employment, though she is initially rebuffed.

Wanting to impress, Jasmine takes matters into her own hands, a move which impresses Cindy. She subsequently offers the newcomer a job, though Jean Slater scolds the pair of them.
The following day, Cindy is encouraged by Jasmine’s aptitude towards work, though Elaine Knight isn’t particularly enamoured. Oscar, however, is charmed by the new face around town, and quickly begins to flirt.
He later asks her out on a date as he steals an outfit from the market, though he’s unaware that Cindy has already warned Jasmine to stay away from him – will the newcomer heed her advice?

“Oscar’s reputation precedes him when it comes to love interests – he’s certainly not known for committing to one partner,” our Walford source points out.
“Cindy is quick to step in and suggest that Jasmine shouldn’t fall for Oscar’s charms, but Jasmine knows her own mind. Will she decide to give Oscar a chance?”
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
