Coronation Street‘s Becky Swain is facing a huge dilemma about whether or not she should leave Weatherfield.

Last week, Lisa Swain’s late wife Becky came out of hiding to pay Lisa a visit, leaving a shocked Lisa overcome with emotion.

In today’s episode, Carla put pressure on Lisa to tell Betsy the truth about her mum’s return. She summoned Becky, who broke down in tears and begged Lisa to let her see their daughter.

Carla hoped that Lisa would do the right thing, but Lisa told Becky she wasn’t willing to, saying: “I refuse to put her through any more pain. This Becky show’s over.”

After Becky left, she went to watch Betsy in the precinct. As Becky watched, Ryan came up behind Betsy and put his hand on her arm. Becky ran at him, thinking he was attacking Betsy.

A shocked Betsy stared at her mum in disbelief, saying she must be dreaming. Becky told her she loved her and would give her time to come to terms with the news, but would be back.

Betsy hurried home to tell Lisa that Becky was still alive and was horrified to discover that Lisa and Carla already knew.

“You knew that mum was alive,” Betsy said, adding: “And you didn’t think to tell me.”

Becky let herself in, telling Betsy she wanted to explain, but Lisa railed at Becky, telling her off for turning Betsy’s life upside down.

Becky suggested that the driver of the car that almost hit Betsy could be a member of the drugs gang that’s still after her and they could all be in danger.

“If you want to make sure this family stays safe, you need to keep as far away as possible. Starting now,” Carla said, before she and Lisa told Becky to leave.

An emotional Betsy told Becky how much she missed her, begging her not to leave again. “I don’t want you to go. I’ve only just got you back,” Betsy said.

Lisa agreed that Becky could stay for a bit longer, making Betsy promise not to tell anyone about her mum returning from the grave.

When Becky said she would stay in a nearby hotel, Lisa and Carla were left feeling deeply concerned. Will Becky stay or go?
