Home and Away has teased a major death in Cash Newman and Eden Fowler’s wedding episodes. Ahead of the big day, the soap has released a shocking promo, revealing that one character “won’t make it home” after the couple’s impending nuptials.
Giving fans a glimpse of the bride and groom, the promo began with Eden and Cash looking lovingly into each other’s eyes before exchanging vows. With happily ever after on the horizon, however, the teaser took an unexpected turn, hinting at a violent car crash, which leaves one person dead.
According to Seven (via TV Blackbox): “A day of celebration and love will end in heartbreak on Home and Away as the wedding of Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) is set to be tainted by unimaginable loss.”
The broadcaster adds, “As Cash and Eden embark on the first moments of their new life together, one of the Bay’s most loved residents will take their last breath. Who won’t survive the night? It’s going to be one hell of a week in the Bay as love and loss collide.”

After the clip was shared to Instagram, fans flocked to the comments to voice their concerns. “Please, can we just have one wedding where no one dies?” remarked one. “Why can’t we just have it all go right for once!” penned a second. “Who are they going to kill off?” asked a third.
While details surrounding the episode are under lock and key, several fans have theorised that it’s Theo Poulos (Matt Evans) who dies. Back in May, actor Evans shared a snap of his shorter haircut, fuelling rumours that he might be leaving Summer Bay.
As soap stars rarely change their hair for continuity purposes, many wondered if Evans had traded in his signature long curls after deciding to leave Home and Away. Adding to the ongoing speculation, the TV star has also spoken about pursuing acting projects in the US.

Joining Check It TV in March, Evans said: “I won’t be on Home and Away forever. It’s not me talking about planning to leave, but just saying, like I have plans for America and stuff like that as well. I think I’m at the age where I think it’s a good time to do that.”
Of course, it’s all speculation at this point, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Is Theo about to meet a bitter end? Or is someone else leaving the Bay?
