Poppy’s sister Li read Luna the riot act for taking a job at Forrester Creations. The doctor’s reason for doing so? Who knows? It did not appear that Li was even remotely aware that Luna had a dark side.
True Love?
Immediately, virginal Luna fell into a serious romance with Forrester golden boy R.J. And thus, her reign of terror really began. She was so sickly sweet with him that she threatened to give everyone in their vicinity diabetes.

Luna was completely and totally devoted to R.J. — to the point that she rebuffed his handsome cousin Zende’s every attempt to seduce her. A confounding move, considering the next step in what we would be told had been her master plan all along.
Oh My Minty Goodness!
After mixing bubbly and a few of Mom’s “special mints,” a loopy Luna slept with Zende. She’d later reflect on the tryst as the best sex of her life, but that was just a bonus. Her real goal, she’d explain, was “exposing” Poppy’s drug use. Why? Just wait.

It Only *Felt* Like Years of Tears
Luna actually only fake-cried over her one-nighter with Zende for a few weeks. But it wasn’t just an excuse to lounge around in fuzzy slippers and eat chocolate. Somehow, the show insisted, this was part of a scheme that would result in her getting super-rich Bill Spencer named her biodad.
Isn’t That Convenient?
For “reasons,” Poppy began hinting that yes, Bill might be Luna’s father. So why had Poppy initially denied the possibility? And how come Luna waited until the long-ago lovers had reconnected to target his deep pockets? Beats the hell out of us.

After Li’s DNA test proved that Luna was a Spencer, Bill fell right into her trap and had new family portraits taken. “No, Liam and Wyatt and Will, your presence is not required. I am all about my daughter now!”
Living the High Life
We still had no idea just how diabolical Luna was — or that she was diabolical at all — when Bill offered to adopt her. Which seemed unnecessary since he was supposedly her father, but whatever. She quickly grew accustomed to the VIP treatment at Il Giardino.

So far as we saw, Luna never met Tom Starr, the down-on-his-luck former rocker who insisted to Poppy that he was the young woman’s pop. But thanks to the letters he’d written Poppy over the years, Luna knew he was a threat to her plan and — gulp — eliminated him.
*Now* It All Makes Sense!
Not really. But Luna apparently drugged herself and slept with Zende just as preparation to frame her own mother for Tom’s murder. Mind you, he hadn’t even arrived on the scene yet when Luna “accidentally” shagged Zende. So… um… huh?

When Hollis the Waiter happened upon Tom’s revealing love letters to Poppy, Luna ensured that he had served his last breadstick and let Mom get arrested for the crimes. But by then, Luna had an even bigger problem.
