It’s an unexpected team-up…

EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (24 September), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Fans were left shocked when EastEnders’ Zoe Slater dropped a bombshell and claimed that the father of her adopted child is none other than Sharon Watts’ late husband Dennis Rickman. But what happens next, and can Zoe be trusted?
Sharon was quick to conclude that Zoe was lying in today’s episode, reminding her that two decades ago, she stood in The Vic and told everyone that that baby she miscarried was Den’s, not Dennis’s.
But Zoe said she was talking about another pregnancy, explaining that Dennis went to see her the day she left the Square and they slept together behind Sharon’s back.
All hell then broke loose, and Sharon slapped Zoe in a rage, before Kat swiftly kicked her out of the pub.

Back at home, Vicki tried her best to convince Sharon that Dennis would never have cheated on her, but Sharon didn’t see what Zoe had to gain if this admission wasn’t true.
Meanwhile, Kat wanted to make sure that Zoe wasn’t lying to her, but remembered that she and Dennis went upstairs together on the day she revealed Den was dead.
Zoe said she’d dropped this bombshell to teach Sharon a lesson and suggested that she may help her with the money she needs to find her son.

Later, Ian found Sharon upset in the café, and she filled him in about Zoe and Dennis, admitting that she was starting to believe it might possibly be true.
After a heart-to-heart, Ian brought Sharon back to the house to speak to Kathy, and they all talked through this life-changing Zoe twist.
Ian encouraged Sharon to ignore Zoe and she agreed – but Kathy later reasoned that if Dennis’s son really is out there, she’d want to get to him before Zoe did.

This gave Sharon food for thought, so she called round to see Zoe and demanded all available details about her son.
“I’m going to help you find him,” Sharon revealed. “You and I will never be friends, but if Dennis’s son is out there, I want him found.”
Will Sharon and Zoe really team up – and are they really on the same side?
