Claire and her son Jaxon enjoyed an evening together in London
Claire Sweeney enjoyed an evening in London with her son Jaxon last night, Tuesday September 23. The Coronation Street star regularly shares updates to social media and often gives fans insights into her family life with her son.

The soap star took Jaxon to see the musical ‘Wicked’ and praised the talent on show. On Instagram she shared a clip from the end of the performance, with the actors bowing to the audience. Her caption said: “Took Jaxon to see Wicked, the voices and talent on stage were just phenomenal. We loved it.”

A second photo shared by the former Brookside star was a selfie of the mum and son. They smiled at the camera as they held Wicked theme drinks. Claire had a green cocktail with pink candyfloss and Jaxon had a green slushy drink.

Claire also posted a heart-warming photo showing her hugging Jaxon. Friends and family commented on the special bond the family share. One comment said: “That bond you and Jaxon have is ultra special. Hope he can help you heal. Love him and you.”
Another comment said “Boys and their mums. The best cuddles” and a further response was “Isn’t it amazing when our kids give us a hug but they don’t realise we needed that hug even more than they did.”
Other fans replied “Sending love Claire. A gorgeous hug from your little man. What a superstar” and “Mums love our boys. Jaxon is your perfect tonic in tough times.”

The post marks the first one since the death of former professional boxer Ricky Hatton. Claire dated the boxing icon for eight months last year.
Romance between the two long-time friends blossomed after they competed on Dancing On Ice and grew closer. The two went on a number of holidays to Tenerife before they announced their split last December.

Claire and Ricky remained on good terms and she regularly shared shows of support on her Instagram channels. She took to social media earlier this month to pay tribute.
The 54-year-old said: “I’ve needed a few days to process the devastating news about my dear friend Ricky. My thoughts are with his family especially his children Campbell, Millie Fearne and Lyla, his granddaughter.
“To them, Speaky and to all his friends who loved him so deeply and for so many years I send you my deepest sympathy. Ricky, you were the people’s champ. We adored and cherished you. Love you always.”

Ricky was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester on the morning of September 14, his death is not being treated as suspicious. He was the dad to three children.
The Stockport-born fighter, who would have turned 47 in October, had spoken openly about his struggles with mental health and drug addiction throughout his career, inspiring many others to speak out and seek help.

During his boxing career, the Manchester City fan held multiple world championships, as well as UK titles, and was named Fighter of the Year in 2015.
Ricky was due to return to the boxing ring in December. He was scheduled to fight in the UAE’s Eisa Al Dah in a middleweight bout on December 2 in Dubai. The fight was announced during a show promoted by Al Dah in Dubai on Sunday, with Ricky confirming his return via livestream.
