Bethany fled to London for her dream job earlier this year
Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed Bethany Platt will return to Weatherfield next week. Actress Lucy Fallon is currently away from her role on maternity leave while she gave birth to her second child. The soap star is in a happy relationship with footballer Ryan Ledson.

They welcomed their first child into the world in 2023 when Lucy gave birth to their baby boy, Sonny. The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Nancy, into the world in January.
Bethany Platt bid farewell to the cobbles in a dramatic exit storyline following a whirlwind relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). Bethany accepted a position at her dream job working for a magazine in London.
Her departure went hand-in-hand with her relationship troubles, as Daniel struggled to decide if he wanted to be with Bethany or Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), who also left Weatherfield earlier this year.
Bethany wanted a fresh start, and moving to London was the only option to get away from Daniel. But next week’s spoilers have confirmed that she will return to Coronation Street, whisking D.C Kit Green into her turbulent life after finding herself in bother at the police station.
According to spoilers, Kit’s led to an interview room at the station where he finds Bethany. Bethany explains how she quit her job in London, borrowed her boss’s car without permission and drove it up to Manchester.
She now finds herself accused of car theft. Bethany confesses to her mum Sarah that she quit her job before she was pushed and is back for good. But how will Daniel react to the return of his ex-girlfriend?
It is clear that Bethany will dive straight back into the drama as she returns to the cobbles, causing mayhem for Kit Green after stealing her bosses car. However, actress Lucy Fallon’s life off-screen is thankfully a lot more peaceful.
The soap star regularly updates fans of her life away from the cobbles to her almost 600,000 followers on Instagram. She recently shared a selection of snaps of their luxurious family holiday to Portugal.

Lucy shared a throwback photo of herself holding her bump a year ago, before adding an adorable snap cradling her now six-month-old baby, Nancy. She captured the moment with the song ‘Night Changes’ by One Direction playing in the background.
The lyrics said: “Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes” as Lucy wore the same outfit a year on from her pregnancy photo.
The actress has previously spoken about feeling forever changed by motherhood. She told out sister site, OK!: “We can’t really remember life before Sonny – it feels like a blur.
“Sonny is the image of Ryan, especially when he’s grumpy! He’s too young for us to know his personality just yet, but he seems quite chilled overall. He only really cries when he needs his nappy changing, which Ryan has taken on as his nighttime job – he’s become a pro nappy changer!”
