Michelle Ryan, best known for playing Zoe Slater in BBC One soap EastEnders, has taken to Instagram to tease Christmas in Albert Square saying “well done to the writer”

EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan has revealed she’s received the scripts for the upcoming Christmas episodes.
The Zoe Slater actress has returned to the BBC soap after 20 years and it seems like there’s plenty of drama ahead.
She logged into her Instagram page on Friday (September 26) to share an “exciting” update with her followers.
Alongside a picture of a blue sky with some white clouds, Michelle wrote: “Looking over the Christmas episodes and separating out scripts for the coming week.
“No spoilers alert. Wow. Well done to the writer Lauren! So exciting!!”
Michelle’s latest Instagram post didn’t go unnoticed by fans, with some predicting what will happen in Albert Square over the festive period.

One fan penned: “I don’t think we’ve had Slater focused Christmas episodes for nearly seven years, as I think the last time we had a Slater focused Christmas Day episode was the 2018 reveal of Alfie and Hayley’s affair, so I’ve got high hopes for this.”
Another added: “Nice I wonder if it will be as explosive as the last time we saw Zoe onscreen at Christmas in 2004? Look forward to watching.”
A third person wrote: “I’m looking forward to Zoe and Kat’s first ever Christmas together in 20 years, but it’s EastEnders and drama always follows at Christmas, lol. Nothing is smooth.”
A fourth social media user said: “Can’t wait to see what’s to come, hard to believe it’s just around the corner.”
In June this year, it was announced that Michelle was returning to Eastenders, with the soap star declaring it felt like she’d ‘come home’.
When asked why she’d returned, Michelle revealed: “It all happened at the right time.
“I’d already been thinking about a return because I’d met up with Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo) and Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) and we were reminiscing our fond memories of the show and I’d also joined social media and saw that there was still a lot of love for the character.
