Mystery men, extortion and a drug-related disaster are just three of the courses on the menu, as next weeks Emmerdale prepares to serve a fresh platter of drama.

When Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) is shooketh when she finds her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) hand in hand with a mysterious stranger, while evil Mike (Macaulay Adams) demands more cash from Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), leading him to come up with a radical plan.

Elsewhere, April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) two lives collide when her brother, Leo Goskirk finds and ingests some of the drugs she’s been dealing for Ray Walters (Joe Absalom).

Victoria is floored when she visits Robert and finds him hand-in-hand with mysterious newcomer, Kev (Chris Coghill).

She’s further spooked when Kev knows exactly who she is, and upon a ‘help me’ look from Robert, she pretends to reciprocate. Though Kev is quick to rush off, his promise to return with a gift for Harry is the final blow for Vic, who prepares to interrogate her brother.

Will Robert reveal all about this apparently not-so-stranger?

Mike rears his head, sending poor Vinny further into a tailspin, even after he’s told the courts he won’t appear as a witness for the prosecution. Mike demands more cash, the way he sees it, he won’t have any job prospects after a stint inside, so will need some ‘cushioning’ for when he’s released.

Vinny balks and, desperate to keep new wife Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) in the dark, strikes a deal with the evil extorter. He’ll reinstate himself as a witness and intentionally sabotage the entire case. Mike agrees.

Will Vinny play along with Mike to ensure his secret remains safe from Gabby?

After agreeing to babysit Leo, April’s leaves him to complete a drug deal under the orders of Ray. In her haste to make it to the deal, she drops some pills.

Returning home to find Leo, having taken one, being loaded into an ambulance as Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and dad Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) panic, it dawns on April that she’s put her brother in potentially mortal danger.
