Costello’s Strange Behaviour

When Lisa Swain started digging into her wife’s death, it was clear something wasn’t right. Her boss, DI Costello, kept acting shady from the start. He told Kit Green to keep out of his business and even brought in a fake “Tia Wardley” just to throw Lisa off. That alone was suspicious enough, but then came the real shocker. Last week viewers found out Becky hadn’t died at all. She’d been hiding away after an undercover job went wrong.

To help her disappear, Costello identified another woman’s body as hers so she could escape the gang that was after her. Lisa, who had spent years grieving Becky, was left heartbroken and betrayed. Now with Becky alive and back in Weatherfield, Costello’s role in all of this is looking even more twisted.

Coronation Street: Becky and Costello’s Connection

Amy Cudden, who plays Becky, hinted that what we’ve seen so far between Becky and Costello is just the beginning. She explained that things are much more complicated under the surface and fans will see a lot more come out soon. She also praised Daon Bruni, who plays Costello, saying he’s brilliant to work with and that his character will stir up even more drama and chaos as the story goes on.

And it’s not slowing down anytime soon. Next week, Costello gives Becky a very clear warning, if anyone sees her, both of them could end up in prison. He tells her to stay hidden, but Becky refuses to stay away from her daughter Betsy. Meanwhile, Lisa is furious. She storms into the station demanding answers from Costello about the fake death. When he won’t tell her the truth, she threatens to take the whole thing to the press.
