The new FBI spinoff series CIA is currently facing some issues, but it can be solved by a character from FBI: International. With a change of showrunner and mid-season delay, the new Dick Wolf show can make some changes to increase the chances of its success.

Tom Ellis’ CIA Won’t Include Any FBI: International Characters (But That’s Short-Sighted)

The FBI: International Characters Are Already Known

Tom Ellis as Oliver in Tell Me Lies season 2

When CIA was conceived, it was going to be a backdoor pilot in FBI, similar to the way FBI: Most Wanted was created. This would have allowed us to get to know some of the characters in the new Dick Wolf universe series.

Due to the delays in casting, that changed, and CIA was picked up straight-to-series. It means a lot of new characters to get to know, in the midst of all the CIA on CBS delays. Rethinking the initial statements that FBI: International characters wouldn’t be included is the way to go, as we already know them and love them.

There are calls to include some FBI: Most Wanted or International characters in the spinoff series. Bringing in one fan-favorite character will immediately draw positive attention to a struggling series, ensuring more of us tune in and give the series an earnest chance. The best of the two to choose is the one that didn’t get closure.

Vo Is Exactly The FBI Character Described For CIA

Vo Would Manage Hart’s Elusive Ways

Out of all the FBI: International characters, Agent Cameron Vo is the one who should join Hart. After all, there were some previous statements that the show wanted a female FBI agent, and that agent was going to be a by-the-book agent. Vo is by-the-book, unless one of her own is in trouble, such as when Scott Forrester went dark.

Wes Mitchell and Tyler Booth were both wild agents in FBI: International season 4, but she managed to stick to her own morales and speak up when she didn’t agree with something.

She would be the perfect balance against Hart’s elusive ways, and she already knows how to handle someone like that. Wes Mitchell and Tyler Booth were both wild agents in FBI: International season 4, but she managed to stick to her own morales and speak up when she didn’t agree with something.

On top of that, the FBI: International series finale left with a lot of questions about who got the GS-14 promotion between Vo and Andre Raines. Vo could explain that Raines got the promotion, while she was offered this exciting opportunity in CIA.
