Bethany Platt left the cobbles in February this year as Lucy Fallon temporarily left the soap to head off on maternity leave.

With Daniel leaving Bethany for Daisy Midgeley, Bethany decided to take up a journalism job in London and leave Weatherfield.

Meanwhile, on the cobbles, Bethany’s mum Sarah has been developing her relationship with DC Kit Green.

In the coming weeks, Bethany Platt is due to return to her roots, and fans have now wondered whether romance could be on the cards for the character… But, it could be very messy.

Coronation Street fans predict Kit, Sarah and Bethany love triangle

Bethany Platt loves a good love triangle which has prompted some fans to think that she’ll soon get with Kit Green. There’s one problem though, Kit is coupled up with Bethany’s mum Sarah.

Will that stop Kit from cheating though? Some viewers have predicted an affair…

One Coronation Street fan on X commented: “The way I constantly forget that Sarah is Bethany’s mother, and so I’ve been reading tweets all day about Kit cheating on Sarah with Bethany just being like ‘aw that would be sad, I like Kit and Sarah,’ completely forgetting about the mother/daughter angle lmao.”

Another on Reddit shared: “I thought we were heading for Daniel bedding Bethany and Kit bedding Bethany while still bedding her mother, I guess there is still time!”

A third person agreed: “These storylines are becoming soooo typical.

“So many of us have said there is going to deffo be an affair storyline between Kit and Bethany. Nothing short of what Sarah deserves but c’mon, where is the originality in these storylines now?

“It’s either an affair or a crime.”

Coronation Street usually airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
