The actress, who has played Abi Webster since 2017, took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal she was celebrating a milestone birthday as she posed with her co-star husband Joe Duttine, who plays Tim Metcalfe.

In one post, where Sally posed for some fun snaps of herself, she penned: “Happy 50th birthday to me #birthday #love #family #friends #fakefurcoats.”

While in another post, where she sweetly posed with Corrie husband Joe, 54, as well as her friends and family, she captioned it with: “Birthday bitsie bobsies #spoiltrotten #bestfriends #bestfamily #50rocks.”

Responding in the comments section, Coronation Street fans, as well as Sally’s Corrie co-stars and famous friends, couldn’t get over her age, praising her age-defying looks.

One person said: “Wait what!!!!!!!! 50?! You literally look 30. Happiest of Birthdays to you lovely. Enjoy xxx”, a different account put: “50 looking 30! Have a gorgeous day. Happy Birthday” while another commented: “Are you joking??? Omg!!!!! You look so young and beautiful! Happy Birthday beautiful Sally!!”

Another put: “50?! My goodness I thought you were only just in your 40s! You look amazing!”, a different account put: “50 I’d have guessed about 36. Share your secrets x” while another added: “Happy 50th birthday @sally_carman__ really thought you was only in your 40s but you still look too young to be 50 , welcome to the 50s club xx.”

Meanwhile, Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor, put: “Happy birthday! 50… more like FITTY!”, Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer, put: “You look truly beautiful inside and out” while Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie Webster, wrote: “How fit are you? I could hug you for eternity! Love you Sally Carman Miranda Duttine! Have the most fabulous time in that there London! Lots and lots of love xxxxxxx.”

Sally and Joe announced in summer 2022 that they had tied the knot, sharing a gorgeous snap from their nuptials with the caption: “We did”, along with a yellow love heart emoji.

In the snap, the pair kissed on the lips inside a huge circle balloon wreath in pretty pastel colours with all different sized balloons and faux vines woven through it.

In the wedding snap, the bride looked stunning in a periwinkle blue full-length dress which appeared to have plenty of floral appliqué detailing at the bodice and down the sleeves. Joe looked dapper in a blue suit paired with a crisp white shirt.
