Coronation Street fans think the know what Lisa Swain will pose to Carla Connor when upcoming emotional scenes unfold – and they’re not all convinced it’s a proposal.

It’s already been a dramatic 2025 for the couple, with things quickly going downhill after they were seen welcoming the New Year in together in the Rovers Return with a kiss.

As viewers of the ITV soap saw, Carla ended up falling seriously ill weeks later, with it discovered she had contracted sepsis and the virus caused damage to her kidney, meaning she needed another transplant.

It led to the return of Carla’s brother, Rob Donovan, with the convicted murderer acting as her kidney donor, only to use it to plot his escape from prison.

As it is, soap, things didn’t go to plan, and Rob ended up attacking Lisa before confronting his sister Carla. As he tried to escape, she used the strength she had and pushed him down a flight of stairs, thinking she killed him. But again, he escaped.

And more drama later ensued when Lisa accidentally shot her own daughter, Betsy Swain, during an armed siege involving Rob, who returned to Weatherfield for one last confrontation with his sister.

Things have since being going well for the Swain-Connor’s but, Lisa has now been hit by the devastation of losing one of her own. She had been by Craig Tinker’s side after he was brutally attacked and left for dead, blaming herself for telling him to get back in uniform and prove DC Kis Green wrong following a difficult start to his CID placement.

Craig has since been seen losing his life and Lisa is set to struggle in the aftermath. In upcoming scenes, Lisa will be seen reflecting on the horrors of the day and when she tells Carla that it’s more important than ever to grab happiness where they can, it’s been hinted that she’ll have a question for her girlfriend.

Previously, fans thought a proposal could be on the cards and while some still think that could be the case, some have had another, completely different idea.

@swarlanations said: “Wondering if Lisa asks Carla to be Betsy’s legal guardian in the event of anything happening to her.” @Bonnie19998796 replied: “This would be adorable actually! I’m here for it.”

@MargheritAxen commented: “If Lisa will ask Carla if she wants to stay with her forever and if one day it’s her and not Craig in this situation, if she wants to take Betsy as a daughter… Then what? #Swarla.” @JuneGhafur added: “I would hope Carla says yes she would be a great mum.”

While Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle faces betrayal, secrets, and emotional chaos on screen, the man behind the role—Danny Miller—has never looked happier in real life. The beloved soap actor has shared a deeply moving update that has fans in tears for all the right reasons: his growing family. Just weeks after welcoming his third child, Danny took to Instagram to post a joyful holiday snap with wife Steph and their children—marking their first trip away as a family of five. Beaming from the pool with their two older kids, Albert and Edith, Danny captioned the post with simple yet powerful words: “Family: where life begins and love never ends.” It was a moment of pure contrast to the heartache unfolding for Aaron in Emmerdale. On the show, Aaron has had a turbulent 2025: still reeling from Anthony Fox’s death, navigating a tense marriage to John Sugden, and facing the emotional return of his ex-husband, Robert. Viewers know that while Aaron appears loyal to John for now, he remains dangerously unaware of John’s darkest secret—John accidentally killed Nate Robinson while trying to “save” him. It’s only a matter of time before Aaron’s world unravels again. But off-screen? Danny is basking in peace and gratitude. The actor, who made his Emmerdale debut as Aaron in 2008, has tackled countless emotionally wrenching scenes over the years—from struggles with identity to heartbreak and loss. And yet, fans say his latest real-life post shows more joy than even his happiest fictional moment. Holding his wife, with children clinging to his side and a newborn in their arms, Danny’s happiness is radiant. Just days earlier, Danny had posted a heartwarming welcome to the newest member of the family: “Welcome Vincent Miller. Born 10/07/25, Weighing 8lb 8oz. We could not be happier with our family of 5.” The video of Albert and Edith meeting their baby brother for the first time only added to the emotional impact—brother and sister walking hand-in-hand toward their mum, their eyes filled with curiosity and wonder. The response online was overwhelming. Fans flooded the comments with love: “Gorgeous wee family, it’s heartwarming to see”, one wrote. Another added, “Love watching your family grow.” And perhaps the most touching message of all came from Danny himself, just days before: “Never in my life did I think I’d find happiness of this level… so here’s a picture to describe it for me.” While Aaron Dingle may be on the verge of heartbreak, Danny Miller is living a chapter filled with love, legacy, and new beginnings. It’s a beautiful reminder that even when fiction brings tears, real life can offer peace.
