Coronation Street residents gather together next week in the show as they attend the memorial of Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).
The local police officer was attacked while on duty by Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton), who struck him over the head with a baseball bat.
Craig was rushed to hospital, but last night’s scenes saw his condition deteriorate, with doctors forced to perform CPR.
Tragically, they were unable to revive him, and Craig was pronounced dead, much to the devastation of viewers.

In upcoming episodes, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) reveals to Lisa (Vicky Myers) that Craig’s family want him to make a speech at the memorial.
On the morning of the event, Sarah (Tina O’Brien) is concerned to discover that Kit has already left for the day.
As the mourners gather for the memorial, Lisa notices that Kit hasn’t turned up. While Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and Sarah desperately try and get hold of Kit, Lisa is forced to step in and deliver a heartfelt speech honouring Craig.

‘It feels like it’s done,’ star Colson Smith said previously. ‘It feels like it’s finished, like I’ve got everything that I’ve got from Coronation Street and that’s it now.
‘So it felt very much like a thank you, goodbye, goodnight type thing, because I know there’s no return for Craig and Colson in the future.
‘I have spoke to people who have left and not been killed and I just feel like, for me, it was 100% the right way to know that I’m not coming back.’
Coronation Street is set to deliver another emotional punch next week as Weatherfield residents gather to pay tribute to fallen police officer Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). The beloved character’s shocking death has left the community reeling—and now, one of his closest friends is nowhere to be found during the most important farewell.
Tragedy Strikes as Craig is Laid to Rest
Viewers were left devastated as Craig tragically succumbed to his injuries after being brutally attacked by Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) in last night’s gut-wrenching scenes. Despite doctors fighting to save him with CPR, the effort was in vain. Craig’s death sent shockwaves through the street—and the emotional fallout is only just beginning.
In heartbreaking upcoming episodes, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is asked by Craig’s family to deliver a eulogy at the memorial service. It’s a touching honour, but on the day of the event, Kit mysteriously disappears.
Lisa Steps Up—But Where Is Kit?
As the community gathers to mourn Craig, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) becomes increasingly worried when Kit doesn’t show up. Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) scramble to contact him, but with no luck, Lisa is left with no choice but to deliver a moving tribute herself.
Her speech is heartfelt and raw, leaving mourners in tears—but one question hangs in the air: Why did Kit disappear on such a crucial day?
Could grief have become too much to bear? Or is Kit hiding something deeper?
