Coronation Street has revealed Carl Webster’s secret accomplice after Tracy Barlow was terrorised by a masked thug.
Viewers know that a scheming Tracy has been blackmailing Abi and Carl since she uncovered their affair.
In today’s episode, Tracy told Abi that she wanted the money by the end of the day, saying: “If I don’t get that money, I will tell Kevin the truth.”
Carl told Abi they could give Tracy £500. “Tracy’s a blackmailer trying her luck. She can have 500 quid or nothing,” Carl said.
When Tracy reminded him that she was calling the shots, Abi suggested they come clean to Kevin about the affair, but Carl said they should call Tracy’s bluff.
Later, Tracy found the flower shop being trashed by a masked thug. As the thug did a runner, Tracy hit him over the head with a vase but he got away.
Tracy confronted Carl, accusing him of trashing her shop. She backed down after Debbie proved that the pair had spent the afternoon together in Glossop.
Soon after, Carl was seen thanking Dylan for putting the frighteners on Tracy. Dylan then said he didn’t want anything more to do with Carl.
“You did great,” Carl said. “You gave her a proper good scare. Definitely better than your idiot mate Brody would have done.”
After Kevin said that Tracy called and wanted to meet him in the pub, a panicked Abi warned Carl.
As Tracy entered the pub, Carl facetimed her to reveal that he was at No.1 enjoying a drink with Ken.
Making her excuses, Tracy dashed home to find Carl and Ken getting on like a house on fire. Knowing he had successfully prevented Tracy from telling Kevin the truth, Carl left.
Despite telling Carl that he didn’t want to do any more dodgy dealings, is Dylan going over to the dark side?
