Coronation Street is the longest-running soap in the world. The ITV show first aired in 1960 and more than 62 years later is still going strong. In these years we have seen some iconic characters and moments – from serial killer Richard Hillman’s watery end to the Ken-Deirdre-Mike love triangle.

The show is set on the famous cobbles of Coronation Street which includes the Rovers Return, The Kabin and Roy’s Rolls. Today the show is filmed at MediaCityUK in Salford and in recent years the set has undergone two big expansions.
