Coronation Street spoilers for the week of June 9 tease arrests, discoveries, funerals, hurt feelings and interference.

Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) is arrested, Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) makes a discovery, Craig Tinker’s (Colson Smith) funeral takes place, Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) hurt, and Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) interferes.

Maria Arrested

Next week, Maria will find herself in trouble with the law after an encounter with Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty). Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) suggests to Lou that she should take a DNA test to determine if he is truly Brody’s (Ryan Mulvey) father, but will she agree to it?

After turning down Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) invitation to a family barbecue, Kit catches Brody stealing wine from a delivery van and sends him away.

Brody then files a harassment complaint against Kit with Lisa, who dismisses it and informs Kit. Later, Kit, Sarah, and Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) discover an injured Brody in an alley, with a broken bottle of whiskey beside him-will Brody be alright?

Lou Tries To Sell Mick’s Van

Meanwhile, Lou asks Gary Windass (Mikey North) for help in selling Mick Michaelis’ (Joe Layton) van, but she hides when Maria shows up.

Lou annoys Maria in the salon, but is told to stay put while Maria goes to Craig’s memorial. When Gary encourages Lou to go to show her remorse for Mick’s behavior, how will everyone respond to her being there?

Shona invites Lou to stay, and Lou sees an envelope of cash before slipping into the house. Lou considers stealing the cash just as Maria arrives and jumps to conclusions, insisting Lou empty her pockets-did Lou take the money?

Suddenly, there’s a loud crash from the living room, and Lou is discovered on the floor next to the broken coffee table, with Maria standing over her.

Maria vents to Sarah at The Rovers, but their conversation is cut short by the police, who arrest Maria for ABH; is Maria guilty?

Meanwhile, Lou’s daughters are being cared for by Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who are putting their foster care skills to the test.

Betsy’s Discovery

Betsy Swain discovers that her mother, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), has been hiding something significant from her. Carla Connor (Alison King) expresses her concerns about Lisa to Betsy and devises a plan to help Lisa forget her worries.

Later, Lisa apologizes to Carla, but the reason remains unclear. To distract herself for the day, Lisa reviews some old files, but when she finds Betsy looking through them, she snatches it away, piquing Betsy’s curiosity.

Betsy then confronts Lisa about the file, but Lisa falsely claims it holds information regarding Betsy’s paternity that she cannot access until she turns eighteen.

Betsy Keeps Looking For Answers

Carla gets home and sees that Betsy has been going through Lisa’s files again. Betsy shares with Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) a picture of a letter that has details about her deceased mother, Becky Swain (uncast).

Betsy is seeking answers and makes up a reason to stay away from Lisa so she and Lauren can go visit Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) in prison.

Feeling anxious, Betsy tells Logan that she is there to learn the truth about what happened to Becky.

Meanwhile, Carla and Lisa find out that Betsy has gone to the prison; will Betsy find the answers she is looking for?

Craig’s Funeral

Kit shares that Craig’s family has requested him to give a speech at the memorial, and he and Lisa talk about how difficult the day will be for everyone. However, when the time comes, Sarah is worried to see that Kit has already left for the day.

The mourners assemble, and Lisa becomes anxious when Kit fails to appear for his speech. Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) and Sarah attempt to contact Kit, but since Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) is not in a condition to speak in his place, Lisa must take over.

Lisa delivers a touching speech in memory of Craig, while Carla and the other locals look on-but where is Kit?

Todd’s Hurt

Millie Silverton (Kaitlyn Earley) arrives at the door with an overnight bag; while Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) goes to talk to Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson), he asks Todd to babysit Millie.

Millie reveals a shocking secret to Todd, but what could it be; later, Theo reassures Todd he only moved out for his children’s sake and that their relationship is not over. Todd feels relieved and convinces Theo to join him for lunch.

Theo notices a missed call from Millie and emphasizes that his kids will always be his priority before leaving.

Todd feels heartbroken when Theo cancels their date, and he can’t shake the feeling of being left out as he views a family photo Millie shared.

Toyah’s Interference

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) meets Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) for lunch, and they both agree that friendship is important.

However, when Leanne comes back from the restroom, she overhears Toyah cautioning Ronnie about Leanne’s difficult past and expressing concern that she doesn’t want to see her hurt again.

Ronnie reassures Toyah that his relationship with Leanne is strictly platonic, but how will Leanne respond to Toyah’s meddling?

The relationship between the two women has been tense ever since Toyah’s affair with Leanne’s first love and long-term boyfriend, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price). Will this be the breaking point?
