With just 85 days left until Christmas Day, soap fans have been speculating about what might unfold in December.
One viewer took to social media to ask: “What current storylines will have a Christmas Day comeuppance?” and received a flurry of responses from other soap fans sharing their theories.
Many are hoping that Theo Silverton, who has been manipulating his partner Todd Grimshaw, will finally be exposed and face his comeuppance.
This follows Wednesday’s episode where Theo was confronted by an ex, Owen, who accused him of controlling, gaslighting and aggressive behaviour, reports the Daily Star.

Furthermore, with Billy Mayhew, portrayed by Daniel Brocklebank, confirmed to be exiting the show and rumours swirling that his character may be killed off, some viewers suspect Theo could be behind the potential demise.
Soap fans will remember that Theo has been exerting control over Todd and is envious of his close bond with ex-partner Billy.
In response to the Facebook query, one person said: “Theo hopefully”, another suggested: “Theo’s exit” while a third added: “Billy’s exit.”

Meanwhile, another fan speculated: “So we all know Billy is leaving. I have a theory. Theo doesn’t like Todd and Billy’s friendship. He has a temper. I think he’s going to murder Billy. What do you think?”
This prompted responses such as: “Yes I think that too” and “Quite possible but it would be sad… I hope they do not kill Billy so he can come back later.”
Meanwhile, other fans of the soap are speculating that Carl Webster will be revealed as the culprit behind Tyrone Dobbs’ hit and run incident.
Viewers will remember that Tyrone suffered severe spinal injuries and faces a long road to recovery after being hit by a car in a hit and run.
Carl was revealed as the driver involved in the accident in a chilling flashback. In subsequent shocking scenes, Carl torched the car and even visited Tyrone in hospital.

Furthermore, some viewers believe his affair with James Bailey will come to light, much to the shock of Abi Webster, who he was also seeing behind his brother Kevin Webster’s back.
Reacting to a Facebook post about a potential Christmas Day revelation, one viewer speculated: “Maybe that Carl knocked over Tyrone xxx.”
Coronation Street continues on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV and ITV X.
