Coronation Street‘s Jenny Connor seems cursed in her quest for love, as everything she tries to do to win the heart of Goerge Shuttleworth just pushes him closer to rival Cristina Boyd, and Glenda’s huge blunder next week might be the icing on the cake.

Scenes set to air on Friday 3 October will see Glenda try to wean her brother off Cristina by writing up a list of her pros and cons.

Unfortunately for her, Cristina comes along and picks up that list!

What has Glenda written (we imagine Cristina trying to scam Jenny out of her money will be quite high up on the cons list), and how will Cristina react?

It’s not the only plan that backfires for Jenny, as Glenda throws a speed dating night in The Rovers. She rigs the event so Jenny gets her chance with George before Cristina does.

However, Jenny gets a call telling her that Rita Tanner has had a fall and rushes off to help, while Cristina feels gleeful that her competition is out of her way.

But Jenny soon plays her own game and exaggerates just how bad Rita’s injury is to garner sympathy. Will George forgive her deceit?

Our Corrie source said that “It’s obvious how much Jenny has fallen for George”, but George could unfortunately “soon be off the market”.

We know that Jenny is set to depart from Weatherfield soon, as actor Sally Ann Matthews has confirmed that she has left the soap.

“I was supposed to stay for five months but ended up doing an extra 10 years because I loved it so much!” she said when announcing her exit.

“It’s time though to play those parts I always hoped I would when I’d ‘grown up’.”
