Sue Cleaver has called for a chat with Vicky Pattison after a video of her kissing her dog went viral. The Geordie Shore star sparked controversy on social media over the weekend when she was seen opening her mouth wide as her dog enthusiastically licked around and inside it.

Alongside presenter Christine Lampard, TikTok sensation GK Barry and former EastEnders actress Nadia Sawalha, the Coronation Street veteran made a biting comment about Vicky, suggesting that something had gone ‘seriously wrong’ in her past.

During a Bank Holiday special of Loose Women on Monday, Sue stated: “I would like to speak to Vicky Pattison and find out why she opens her mouth. Something has really gone wrong in her childhood, something has gone seriously wrong!”

Vicky, who triumphed in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! nearly ten years ago and will soon be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, is the proud owner of two dogs, Max and Milo, whom she adopted with her husband, Ercan Ramadan.

However, fans felt Vicky crossed a line when she let her pet lick inside her mouth, reports the Mirror.

While participating in a promotion for a brand named Butternut Box alongside a brand spokesperson, Vicky opened her mouth wide while her dog licked around and inside her chops.

Immediately called out, Vicky was labelled as “gammy” – and her co-star sheepishly agreed, saying: “I know. I’m so sorry. The thing is, I do it too… it makes them happy.”

Fans weren’t pleased, though, with many claiming the celebrity had overstepped the mark.

One disgusted follower responded to the post, writing: “I love my dogs like my kids but nooooooo I couldn’t.”

Another commented: “This is so disgusting. Then you kiss your partner and kids after that, spreading bacteria.”

TV viewers will shortly witness Vicky in a fresh role – as a participant on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing this winter.

She is amongst the 15 celebrities participating in the glamorous reality competition – with actress Alex Kingston and TV presenter Ross King among others taking part.

Chatting to 2023 participant Angela Scanlon, Vicky revealed in an episode of the podcast Get A Grip that she isn’t worried about the supposed Strictly curse – joining the programme a year after tying the knot with The Only Way Is Essex star Ercan.

She explained: “No, so obviously I’m newly married, and the press are just, like, wild, aren’t they? I feel like the whole, like, chemistry between couples can easily be, like, misrepresented.”

She continued: “For that side of things, I would absolutely really love a gay partner, just because I don’t want any of the rumours. But, like, you can’t go around requesting things like that.”
