They are never ever, ever, ever getting back together…or are they?

Monica’s funeral on General Hospital had a lot of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that were crucial to current storylines, but this one small glance may have been the biggest of them all.

Lante Looks

Ever since Lulu (Alexa Havins) woke up from her four-year-long coma last year, things have been rocky with her ex-husband Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). The two were already separated when Lulu slipped into the coma, and during those four years, Dante found love with the since deceased Sam (Kelly Monaco).

While long-time Lante fans have hoped for nothing more than a reunion between the supercouple, Dante and Lulu have made it clear they would rather stay friends and co-parents. But one moment at Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson) funeral said it all.

As Lucy (Lynn Herring) spoke about the true love Monica and Alan (the late Stuart Damon) had, many couples shot each other glances, like Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). Then, in a sudden moment of hope, Dante glanced over at Lulu, who looked right back at him.

“Love that the show moved to Dante and Lulu as Lucy said those words…’true love, we all know it when we see it..’ That tells us the show is heading to #Lante,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Many others caught the moment, with another quoting Lucy again before stating, “Pan to Dante and Lulu looking at each other. Are you serious? Stop teasing me, GH (don’t stop).”

And this fan summed it up best when they shared, “Dante and Lulu exchanging looks when Lucy talked about Alan and Monica being each other’s true loves. Love how BLQ and Chase were in the shot too.”
