EastEnders viewers have been left fearing for Vicki Fowler as she was confronted by her stepson Joel Marshall tonight in a ‘scary scene’.
The teen has been causing problems ever since he joined EastEnders earlier this year, with his vile behaviour and misogynistic views. With his father Ross spending more time away for work, Vicki has taken on the responsibility of looking after Joel, and things aren’t going down too well.
During yesterday’s episode, Vicki realised that Joel and Tommy had skipped school to attend a Drake Zagan event, as she and Kathy went down to bring them home. Of course, Joel wasn’t best pleased, and Vicki and Kathy were verbally attacked by Joel and others at the event.

At the end of her tether, in tonight’s episode, Vicki asked Julie, who has been a teacher for 30 years, to have a word with her stepson. Joel told Julie that “feminism was a joke”.
“All society asks women to do is value themselves, and most of them can’t even do that,” he continued. He then began to talk bad about his mother, who cheated on his father, insisting his views on women weren’t because he was angry at her.

After a heart to heart and offering her advice to Vicki, Julie asked to be kept updated on how she gets on. However, things became even worse when Joel arrived home and met with Vicki.
“She thinks she knows everything,” Joel aggressively said. “It’s no wonder she ended up with some loser who’s gone soft in the head,” referring to Nigel.

Things then took a dark turn as Joel went up to Vicki’s face and said: “Listen to me very carefully. Don’t you ever embarrass me again like you did today. Do you understand?” he then walked away, as Vicki looked terrified.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “That last scene towards the end with Joel and Vicky just got really dark, really quick. I think Joel is gonna try to physically harm Vicky now,” while another said: “All I’m going to say is thank god Sharon is back on Monday. Could she be the one who finally gets through to Joel if anyone?”
“Can someone please knock some sense into Joel? I don’t care who does it (preferably the whole square) but can they do it soon?” a third begged.
Vicki wasn’t the only one who seems to be terrified of Joel. Elsewhere, across the street, the Vic was left in chaos as Kat, Zoe and Stacey agreed to give Greg money in exchange for their safety.
During the commotion, Greg ended up unconscious on the floor yet again, where Zoe told Jack and Ravi he was the one who shot her. Of course, unaware that Jack had accidentally pulled the trigger. Jack and Ravi then saw it as a way to cover up their faults.
Tommy walked in while Greg was holding the Slaters at knifepoint, as he ran out to get help from Jack and Ravi who were arguing on the Square.
However, when Joel asked him what he did in the situation, Tommy lied and said: “I lamped him. Punched him a few times.”
“Good man, looking after your family! I’m proud of you man,” Joel replied.
But how will he react when he finds out the truth and how will the storyline continue?
