EastEnders fans are convinced that newcomer Jasmine has a connection to one Walford resident and is the reason for her sudden arrival

EastEnders has introduced a fresh face to Walford, and viewers believe they’ve sussed out her link to Cindy Beale.

In the BBC soap’s Tuesday episode (23rd September), Jasmine, played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, mysteriously turned up in Walford looking for work and promptly made herself known to the locals.

She soon found herself at The Albert, the Square’s local pub, where she bumped into Cindy, portrayed by Michelle Collins, and asked about job openings. Initially, Cindy was dismissive of Jasmine’s offer but quickly had a change of heart.

However, bar manager Elaine Knight, played by Harriet Thorpe, wasn’t overly thrilled with the new addition. Jasmine also caught the eye of Oscar Branning, played by Pierre Moullier, who started making moves on her.

Jasmine arrived in Walford this week, taking a job at The Albert

On Thursday evening (25th September), Oscar attempted to charm Jasmine, but she declined his invitation for a date, reports OK!.

Nonetheless, after Oscar went to great lengths to catch her attention, even stealing clothes from the market stall to convince Jasmine to join him for an evening out, his plan worked.

Jasmine surprised everyone by kissing Oscar in public while Cindy tried to prevent any romance from developing between them.

But the newcomer Jasmine has also been showing curiosity in her new boss, Cindy’s life, even as the icon has cautioned her new bartender to keep her distance from the locals.

EastEnders viewers are now certain that Jasmine has connections to Jackie Ford, the offender Cindy encountered during her imprisonment, which explains her unexpected appearance in Walford.

Whilst serving her sentence, Cindy became a grass and she shopped Jackie to the authorities.

This was why Cindy had to assume a fake identity – Rose Knight, for all those years.

Taking to X, one viewer questioned: “Jasmine is related to Jackie Ford’s family? ? #eastenders”, whilst another declared: “So that’s who Jasmine is, probably a relative to who Cindy snitched on #EastEnders.”

A third elaborated: “So, it’s been alluded to that Jasmine comes from a criminal family. And then she gave Cindy a very definite look as Cindy walked away… I have a feeling she’s related to Jackie Ford – Cindy’s cellmate she agreed to give evidence against. #EastEnders.”

Another observed: “I wonder if Jasmine could be something to do with Jackie Ford seeing as she seems intent on finding out more about Cindy #EastEnders.”

“To those of you that suspect that jasmine belongs to the criminal family of Jackie Ford, who Cindy snitched on all those years ago…maybe you guys are on to something…#eastenders”, contributed another.
