EastEnders has issued a major update on Sean Slater as his sister Stacey considers a life-changing decision
EastEnders has dropped a bombshell about Sean Slater as his sister Stacey contemplates a life-altering choice.
Following the death of Martin Fowler (James Bye) earlier this year, his former wife Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has found it tough to adjust to life in the Square without the beloved greengrocer. In an unexpected turn of events, Sean has now proposed that Stacey leave Walford to assist him in running a restaurant in Brazil.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity could provide Stacey and her children with a fresh start, although Sean hasn’t extended his invitation to their mother Jean (Gillian Wright). Will Stacey abandon London and the rest of the Slaters for a new existence in South America alongside Sean?

It’s been three years since Sean decided to leave his life in Walford behind, and actor Rob Kazinsky appears vastly different from his time on the BBC soap.
Rob, 41, first graced Walford 19 years ago in August 2006, portraying a charming ex-military man with a mischievous personality and knack for ruffling feathers. Sean also turned heads among the local women, reports OK!.
He remained a full-time cast member on the BBC soap until his departure in 2009.
The actor has since made occasional brief returns in 2019, November 2021, and April 2022, interacting with other members of the Slater family.

Since bidding farewell to Walford, Rob has swapped his longer hair and stubble for a more polished look, and his acting career seems to be on an upward trajectory.
The British Soap Award winner has carved out a successful career in Hollywood, featuring in HBO’s True Blood and Marvel’s blockbuster Captain Marvel.
Last July, Rob demonstrated that his transatlantic leap had been worthwhile when he secured a major role in the latest Star Trek film, Star Trek: Section 31, which premiered in January 2025.

He appeared alongside Michelle Yeoh and Omari Hardwick in the production, which ties into the recent Star Trek: Discovery series. The film forms part of producer Alex Kurtzman’s ambitious expansion of the Star Trek Universe.
Sharing the thrilling announcement on Instagram, Rob penned: “Yet ANOTHER dream job alert. My people know that ST [Star Trek] is my life, I can pretty much mouth along to every episode of every trek.”
He continued: “So to be joining the Trek universe is one of, if not the greatest moment of my professional life. Also, I met @jonathansfrakes this morning for the second time. AND he knew my name!

Rob’s impressive filmography also includes Hot Pursuit, Warcraft: The Beginning, Law and Order, amongst numerous other productions.
Could he return for one final stint in Walford with Stacey? EastEnders enthusiasts can only dream.
