Taking to Instagram late last night (September 25), Mike posted a photo of the NHS logo. And alongside it, he penned a lengthy, heartwarming letter to the staff.
The Ross Barton actor wrote: “To every Midwife, Nurse, Surgeon, Catering Staff, Cleaner, Porter and so many other important roles at Leeds Hospital.
“Every single time my partner had to go into hospital due to her illness (Hyperemesis) or anything else related to pregnancy, we left feeling assured we were in the best hands possible.
“Not once did we leave thinking someone had been short or rude, or that we or are baby were unsafe. We always felt like the care we received was of the highest standard, and that any staff member would have gone above and beyond to help us.”
Mike continued his letter, thanking them. He said: “Even at the end of a 12 hour shift, when you were exhausted, you were always so kind to us.
“I wish I could see all of you individually to say thank you. Myself and Issi are eternally grateful for your care and support.”
Co-stars show their support for Mike

Former Emmerdale star, Gemma Atkinson, who played Carly Hope, shared her own experience in the comments. She wrote: “The midwives and doctors at Bolton hospital genuinely saved mine and Mia’s life when she was born. Forever grateful.”
Mike’s partner also commented on the post. Issi added: “Forever thankful for the NHS and the incredible staff who work there. I couldn’t have said it better myself – thank you for taking such great care of us.”
