FBI Season 8 Is Coming — Everything You Need to Know About the Cast, Premiere, and Shocking New Footage

As FBI Season 7 nears its May 20 finale, fans are already gearing up for a game-changing Season 8 — and it’s coming with major shifts both onscreen and off.

Thanks to a multi-season renewal from CBS, FBI is officially locked in through at least Season 9. But while the future is secure, the format of your favorite crime-fighting franchise is about to change dramatically. The beloved “All-FBI Tuesday” lineup is no more. With both spinoffs (FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted) canceled, the flagship series is moving to Mondays at 9/8c as part of a newly redesigned two-hour franchise block that includes the upcoming offshoot FBI: CIA.

FBI Season 7 New Cast & Returning Character Guide

This programming move signals not just a shift in scheduling, but a potential tonal shift as well — something that’s already being reflected in the changing cast dynamics.

Season 8 will move forward without Katherine Renee Kane (Tiffany), who exited in the Season 7 premiere. Her absence shook up the squad, and since then, fans have seen a rotating door of new faces. Lisette Olivera was briefly introduced as Scola’s partner, Syd, but her arc ended quickly. Enter Emily Alabi, who has stepped into the role of Scola’s newest partner, Dani Rhodes. Whether she’ll continue in a full-time capacity in Season 8 remains to be seen.

Returning mainstays include:

  • Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell

  • Zeeko Zaki as OA Zidan

  • Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine

  • Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille

  • John Boyd as Stuart Scola

Together, this core cast will navigate an increasingly dangerous world — and they won’t be doing it from the safety of routine.

Season 7’s finale, titled “A New Day,” sets the stage for a seismic shift. Jubal narrowly survives a calculated assault on a secret FBI office, and the aftermath reveals a rogue terrorist group has infiltrated the bureau itself. As the team realizes their own organization may be compromised, trust breaks down. It’s unclear who the enemy is — or how deep the infiltration goes. The episode leaves fans with a chilling cliffhanger, pushing the entire unit into the shadows as they prepare for Season 8.

While FBI will continue its case-of-the-week structure, Season 8 is poised to carry the fallout from this internal breach into a much larger arc. The days of procedural comfort may be over — now, the team must investigate while watching their own backs. Rogue insiders. Political manipulation. New enemies within. The stakes are rising, and the bureau may never be the same again.

And with FBI: CIA debuting as part of the new Monday lineup, the franchise could be heading into darker, more espionage-driven territory — offering plenty of crossover potential.
