In an exclusive reveal to ET, FBI star Zeeko Zaki, known for playing Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan, has shared the heartwarming news of his engagement to girlfriend Renee Monaco. Zaki popped the question during a romantic camel ride in the desert, which, according to Zaki, had been a long-running joke between him and Renee. They would often ask each other, “Is this the moment?” whenever they were in a romantic setting, and on this special occasion, it truly was.

“I don’t think she had any idea that it was gonna happen there, but I was not gonna waste a camel ride into the desert, so it was definitely the moment, and it was a dream come true,” Zaki told ET.

After dropping to one knee, Zaki admitted that he hadn’t planned his words, trusting that they would come naturally in the moment. “It was so magical. It was unbelievable,” he said. Renee, clearly surprised and overjoyed, echoed her excitement, stating, “I had no idea. I was so happy.”

The couple, who have been together since 2021, have documented their relationship publicly on social media, with Zaki frequently sharing heartfelt tributes to Renee. During Valentine’s Day earlier this year, Zaki shared a touching post about Renee on Instagram, calling her his safe space and expressing gratitude for having her by his side.

Zaki also revealed that his FBI co-stars were just as excited about the engagement. “Missy [Peregrym] knew. She knows everything,” Zaki said, referring to his co-star who plays Special Agent Maggie Bell. He also mentioned that the rest of the cast, including John Boyd and Jeremy Sisto, were thrilled for him.

Ahead of the season 5 finale and the 100th episode of FBI, Zaki shared his excitement for the milestone. He reflected on the significance of hitting 100 episodes, noting, “One hundred episodes in today’s world isn’t really a common occurrence. It’s been a really incredible ride.”

As for the highly anticipated finale, Zaki teased that the episode would take on a “creepy” tone, describing a plot centered around a religious serial killer with a God complex. He promised that fans would be in for a chilling treat, especially after filming in Sleepy Hollow cemetery.
