Here’s everything you need to know about Juliet Godwin’s exit.
It’s been an emotional 12 months for Home and Away viewers, with two fan favourite actresses exiting the long-running soap. Jacqui Purvis’ character Felicity Newman was killed off in August 2024, and Lynne McGranger’s character Irene Roberts is set to farewell Summer Bay in the coming weeks.
It has now been leaked that another popular star has left the series, with their final scenes expected to air later this year. Juliet Godwin, who plays Dr Bree Cameron, ju reportedly saying goodbye to the show after three years.
An Instagram Story was shared – and quickly deleted – this week of Juliet enjoying a meal with the show’s cast and crew, including Matt Evans and Tristan Gorey. The caption revealed that they were celebrating Juliet’s farewell, as well as Home and Away’s make-up artist Amy Weems’ birthday.
“Happy birthday @amyweems15 & farewell @julietgodwin_ you beauties,” the post read.
While the Zimbabwe-born actress is yet to publicly announce her departure, a production insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Juliet filmed her final scenes last week. With Home and Away’s turnaround time, her exit storyline will likely play out at the end of the year in Australia.

Why is Juliet leaving Home and Away?
It’s unknown why Juliet is leaving Home and Away or how her character will be written off; however, actors typically sign a three-year contract when joining the series. As Juliet made her first appearance in August 2022, her rumoured departure lines up with the potential end of her contract.
Fans have taken to social media this week to react to the news, with many commenting that Juliet and her character Bree “will be missed”.
“Will be a shame to see her go,” one person wrote, while another added, “It is not fair all the good ones are leaving and soon we won’t have too many originals left either”.
“Oh, I’m sorry to see her leaving. Good luck in her next venture,” a third shared, followed by someone else who remarked, “I wasn’t a fan of her character, but wish her the best for her future”.

Finale set to be ‘biggest shoot’ in show’s history
Meanwhile, one viewer has claimed on social media that the cast is filming the show’s season finale this week. The fan posted in a popular Facebook group that the finale is “the biggest shoot they’ve done in Home and Away history”, leading others to share their theories about potential storylines.
“I heard there is going to be a car accident and Harper doesn’t make it,” one person commented, with another adding, “Maybe Roo’s other foster kid will come back to try to kill Roo”.
“Maybe it’s a big ‘shoot out’,” someone else said, followed by a different user who wrote, “I wonder if the season finale will involve the river boys coming back for revenge”.
“No more kidnappings, fires, or car crashes, please,” one fan requested. “How about they finish with a good storyline. No more river boys, no more nut job foster kids. Seriously over those situations.”
