Home and Away’s Tane Parata and Harper Matheson have been struggling with co-parenting, following the recent breakdown of their relationship. Though the pair agreed to live together for the sake of their son Archie, the arrangement has proved difficult for both parties.

In upcoming episodes, Harper offers up a surprising solution to their awkward living situation. But will Tane be on board?

Next week, Harper’s sister pops in for a visit and quickly notices the tension between the two exes. Dana points out that Harper is clearly trying to avoid spending time with Tane – and vice versa.

She gives Harper a pep talk, insisting she can make her co-parenting work, but reminds her that it won’t be easy. Meanwhile, Tane receives similar advice from Mackenzie and Levi, who encourage him to play the long game until things settle down.

Later, Harper returns home, determined to discuss her future with Tane and Archie – no matter how difficult it will be. To her surprise, Tane agrees that they need to have a conversation about what’s best for their son.

Harper admits she’s struggling to get along with Tane while they live under the same roof. However, Tane shuts down her suggestion to move out, as he wants to keep both Harper and Archie close.

Having already dampened his budding romance with Jo Langham, it’s clear that Tane is willing to sacrifice his own happiness to keep things amicable in the house.

When Harper catches him gently demonstrating a haka to their son, she realises how important it is to keep Archie close to his dad.

After reconsidering her move, Harper agrees to remain living with Tane, but her decision comes with some conditions. She tells him she’s going to start dating again, and that he should make things work with Jo.

Can the pair reach another agreement for the sake of their family?
