“I’m Glad She’s Dead”: Poppy’s Cold Words After Luna’s Death Leave L.A. Shattered

No one saw it coming — not the gunshots, not the bloodshed, and certainly not Poppy Nozawa’s reaction to the tragic death of her daughter. But in The Bold and the Beautiful, just when fans believe they’ve reached the peak of drama, the show barrels straight through into uncharted emotional territory.

Following the deadly showdown at the Spencer beach house, three gunshot victims were rushed into emergency surgery at University Hospital: Luna, Liam, and Sheila Carter. But it was Luna whose injuries proved too severe. Despite desperate efforts by Lee Finnegan, Bridget Forrester, and Grace Buckingham, the young woman’s heart gave out on the table. The moment Lee emerged, her surgical scrubs still streaked with blood, the words she delivered silenced the room: “She’s gone. We lost her.”

Shock rippled through the hospital corridors. Finn, pale and trembling, couldn’t speak. Steffy, though tormented by what Luna had done to her and Hayes, never wished for this. Hope Logan covered her mouth in horror, and Carter Walton stiffened beside her. But it was what came next that changed everything.

Standing in the center of that grief-stricken room, Poppy, Luna’s own mother, looked Lee square in the eye and said, “Like I said… I’m glad my daughter is dead.”

The silence that followed wasn’t just awkward — it was cataclysmic.A YouTube thumbnail with maxres quality

Finn staggered back, reeling from the words. His voice cracked as he asked, “You what?” Steffy grabbed his arm instinctively, feeling the weight of the emotional collapse about to unfold. Hope turned away, tears forming in her eyes. Carter took a cautious step back, as if Poppy had become something untouchable — something monstrous.

Poppy didn’t flinch.

Her face was carved from stone as she explained that Luna had betrayed her, framed her for murder, and left her to rot in jail. “I buried Luna years ago,” she said coldly. “What you tried to save on that table wasn’t my daughter. It was a liar, a threat — and now it’s gone. Good riddance.”

Lee exploded, her voice trembling with fury. “How dare you stand here, in front of her family, and say that?” But Poppy wouldn’t be moved. “None of you know what it’s like to have your own blood ruin your life,” she spat.

The emotional toll was unbearable. Finn, barely holding himself together, accused her of abandoning her daughter in life and in death. Steffy, overcome with emotion, helped him from the room as his body shook with sobs. Hope and Carter quickly followed, unable to endure another moment in Poppy’s presence.

But the damage was done.

Word of Poppy’s shocking declaration spread quickly through Forrester Creations and Il Giardino. Brooke Logan was horrified. Bill Spencer, already reeling from Liam’s coma and Luna’s involvement, was consumed with rage. Even Sheila Carter, long considered the villain of the story, was said to mutter “heartless” under her breath.

The fallout has only just begun. Will Finn ever forgive his mother? Can Lee live with the knowledge she lost Luna — and lost her sister all over again? And could it be that Luna’s death isn’t as final as it seems?

In Los Angeles, The Bold and the Beautiful never lets tragedy rest in peace.
