Inside Soap Awards 2025 confirms final shortlist – but which soap stars made the cut?

The final shortlist for the Inside Soap Awards 2025 has been confirmed, ahead of next week’s ceremony. The star-studded event will take place on 29 September, and will give recognition to outstanding performances and incredible storylines from across the beloved genre.

Over 80,000 Inside Soap readers have had their say since the vote opened in July. Fans have been voting for their favourites in categories such as Best Villain, Best Family, Best Showstopper and Best Partnership.

Meanwhile, voting will remain open for the prestigious Best Soap award until 29 September, when either Coronation StreetEastEndersEmmerdale, or Hollyoaks will take home the crown.

This year’s ceremony will also see the introduction of the Soap Superstar of 2025 award, as well as two Outstanding Achievement Awards which will be presented to one individual and one entire creative team.

Sarah Ellis, editor of Inside Soap magazine, said: “2025 has been a year full of shocks and surprises in the world of soap; from John Sugden’s reign of terror in Emmerdale and Martin’s tragic goodbye in EastEnders, to villainous Clare Devine’s return from the dead in Hollyoaks, and the runaway success of ‘Swarla’ in Coronation Street.
