Will Phyllis get what she wants from Dumas?
There has been so much talk about Aristotle Dumas lately. Even Phyllis is intrigued by this mysterious presence that’s put all of Genoa City in a chokehold. She’s desperate to have Dumas as her investor. But Phyllis needs something else on Young and the Restless that doesn’t involve men or money. (Her two favorite words that start with an “M.”)
She’s Out Of Control
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has dealt with a lot in recent years, and she’s not handling it well. She thinks what she needs is money and success, not healing or a mental health day. Our favorite antihero stole Billy’s (Jason Thompson) phone momentarily to read his messages from the elusive Dumas, a reclusive billionaire.

Many people have worked for Dumas, including Amanda (Mishael Morgan). Phyllis wants a piece of the Dumas pie. She will do anything to get it. In her mind, she believes this person is going to want to meet with her and accept one of her ideas. Phyllis is hoping that he’ll throw a billion dollars her way.
She came up with a new company that has “several companies under one umbrella.” Phyllis asked Amanda to put in a good word for her. But she failed on her pitch because she had too many ideas. (Here’s why Amanda’s return is a good thing for Phyllis on Y&R.) This move is messy because Phyllis is so far gone that she’s fed into her delusions. She believes that she has the key to financial wealth.

What She Really Needs
Phyllis can’t handle the fact that Billy fired her. She should take that as a good sign because there wasn’t a company in the first place. He’s been working for months on his company with nothing to show for it. Like Phyllis, Billy believes that Dumas will invest in his company even though it has no business plan or direction.
What Phyllis needs is to focus on herself. She should take a break from the corporate shakeups and invest in her mental health. That’s the best investment she could make. The last thing she needs is to deal with more stress and drama. Starting a new company is a huge mental undertaking, and she can’t handle that kind of pressure.
