Coronation Street fans have been left gobsmacked after realising who Gary Windass actor Mikey North is married to – and they might just recognise his famous wife

However, it’s not just on-screen drama that has fans talking. Many were recently taken aback upon learning about Mikey’s famous wife, actress Rachael Isherwood, reports Leicestershire Live.
Off-screen, Mikey is happily married to Rachael, whom he wed in 2016 after three years of dating. The couple share two children, a son named Archie born in 2017, and a daughter named Eliza born in 2019.

Rachael herself is no stranger to the limelight. As well as being a fitness instructor, she had a significant role in the 2011 Hollywood blockbuster, Captain America: The First Avenger, where she portrayed a USO dancer, according to MCU Fandom.
Fans of Coronation Street have been swooning over a photo of Mikey North and his wife Rachael, shared on a Corrie Facebook fan page.
One admirer commented: “Mikey North and his wife Rachael.” While another fan wondered: “Am I right in thinking she was in a Marvel film a few years ago?” A third joined the conversation, simply exclaiming: “Ahhh no way.” A fourth voiced their approval, stating: “Such a gorgeous couple!”.
He’s had his fair share of big storylines
The actor, known for his role in the famed soap, romantically proposed to Rachael back in 2015 during a picturesque Lake District retreat.
Speaking to OK! magazine about the proposal, Mikey revealed: “I asked her to shut her eyes. When she opened them I was down on one knee with the ring. I was looking up at Rachael, with my knees getting wet, and I just said: ‘Will you marry me?’”.
Further sharing details of the emotional moment, he confessed: “In the moment before I proposed I was shaking like a leaf. Then when she said yes, I called my mum and just couldn’t stop crying.”
