Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine has been branded a ‘legend’ by one of her former castmates, as she said she ‘couldn’t be happier’ in a new update.
The actress is best known for playing Abi Webster in the ITV soap, having made her debut in the role back in 2017, and viewers have seen the character faced with a number of hard-hitting storylines over almost a decade.
And it was this week that Sally was among the Corrie stars to get some recognition for their work. She was seen with her co-stars – both past and present – as they celebrated their latest achievements at the 2025 Inside Soap Awards.
For Sally, the 44-year-old actress’ was praised for her storyline from earlier this year, in which he alter ego discovered Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) bleeding and badly wounded in Weatherfield Precinct after he had been stabbed with a “zombie knife” during a fight with his brothers Matty (Seamus McGoff) and Logan (Harry Lowbridge).
Despite Abi alerting the emergency services and staying with Mason as he fought for his life, Mason passed away in the hospital.
Mason’s death brought back Abi’s feelings and memories in relation to the death of her son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) in a hate crime committed by Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) in May 2021 and viewers began to see her suffer from flashbacks and hallucinations and depression as the post-traumatic stress disorder took a hold on her life.
Mason’s death and Abi’s PTSD won the Best Storyline accolade at the Inside Soap Awards, and Sally credits the win to Owen Lloyd-Fox, who wrote the episodes.
Days on from the event and Sally has taken to Instagram with a picture of her and her co-stars who attended the bash and said: “Oh the fun we had! Thank you @insidesoapmagazine for a fabulous night.

Luca Toolan, who picked up the award alongside Sally, was quick to comment: “You’re a bloody legend,” to which she gushingly commented back: “Prince!”
Fans were also keen to respond. @swarlahq said: “Oh Sally what a fantastic photo! Congratulations to you all.” @editedbysoph commented: “Love this! Congratulations once again! You guys deserved it all.” @xjeankellyx wrote: “Love this photo of you all. I voted for you all because you truly deserved it #teamcorrie.”
@vickymyersfan replied: “Stunning cast and such deserved awards! Congratulations.” @sharongannon5 posted: “Well done Corrie @sally_carman__ I voted.” @escape2chauffeurcars added: “Well deserved. You’re all amazing @sally_carman__.”
It comes after Sally said of winning the awards: “I’m really excited [with the win] – especially for Owen Lloyd-Fox, who actually wrote the eps. And we got the easy job in the world by just learning the lines and doing the story. So yeah, it’s great!”
Also among the winners on the night was Sally’s Corrie co-star and off-screen bestie, Vicky Myers. She went home with the Best Actress award for her portrayal of the Weatherfield detective sergeant, beating Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater, EastEnders), Beth Cordingly (Ruby Miligan, Emmerdale) and Isabelle Smith (Frankie Osborne, Hollyoaks) to the accolade.
She was also recognised for Best Partnership alongside her on-screen partner Alison King, who plays Carla Connor on the cobbles.
