The Brooke that Hope caught moping late at night in the office bemoaning her “destiny” couldn’t have imagined all the upheaval about to upend her life mere hours later, but it’s already upon her… and us. Bold & Beautiful’s bedroom blonde appears on the verge of finding herself in more than a bit of a bind… in which she’ll learn that timing really is everything!It seemed Brooke was at her lowest moment, trying on lingerie alone in Ridge’s office after he’d already gone home to Taylor, when a blast from the past walked into the room to light up her life. After exchanging pleasantries and enjoying a brief jaunt down memory lane, Nick got right to the nitty gritty of bashing Ridge when he found out things were no longer ship shape between him and Brooke. Bold & Beautiful teasers assure us, Nick will waste no time in romancing Brooke… in fact, he kissed her soundly within moments of finding out she was single.
Across town, Eric, who was being grilled by Taylor about the showstopper stunt, was saved by the bell, so to speak, when Ridge walked in and interrupted. While the elder Forrester skedaddled, Taylor didn’t drop the line of questioning. Ridge’s denials and claims that he just sees Brooke as a co-worker aren’t going to cut it. Our Doc’s a smart cookie, is well aware of the undercurrents in her relationship, and will be seeking honest answers… and she just might get them.
Spoilers indicate that Taylor and Ridge will have an emotional heart-to-heart in which they finally “confront the truth about their love and the woman still between them”. Taylor’s stronger now and can handle the truth, so it’s difficult to see any other outcome here than these two going their separate ways. Being a World Renowned Psychiatrist™, Taylor’s unlikely to settle for a man who is still in love with another woman, particulary if it appears inevitable that they will reunite. Ridge, for his part, can’t seem to fight his magnetic pull toward Brooke no matter how hard he tries.
We’re calling it now… Taylor and Ridge will agree to part ways so Ridge can reunite with Brooke and complete his “destiny”. Unfortunately for him, it won’t be just in the “Nick” of time.Our hunch is that Ridge will arrive back at the Forrester offices to give Brooke the good news that he’s finally “coming home”, only to find her in a passionate liplock with her ex-husband, and Ridge’s half-brother, Nick Marone.
Yes, folks, it’s time for the Dressmaker to get a taste of his own medicine and be forced to sit on the sidelines single and unable to mingle (’cause Taylor will no longer be an option either) for the foreseeable future. If only he’d admitted his true feelings and come to his senses just in the “Nick” of time… all this could have been avoided!
