A dark new romance rocks Coronation Street! Noah and Danielle are together, sending shockwaves through Theo after his traumatic past. Is Noah truly in love, or is there a chilling agenda behind his actions? Actress Natalie Anderson spills the shocking truth!
Salem is abuzz with a new, unsettling development: the ominous Noah has embarked on a surprising romance with Danielle Silverton. This unexpected pairing is set to send shockwaves through Theo Silverton, Danielle’s former partner, who shares a painful history with Noah, hinting at a “nasty” new twist for all involved.
It was previously revealed that Noah was implicated in Theo’s forced conversion therapy years ago, an event that continues to haunt Theo even after he recently came to terms with his sexuality and began a relationship with Todd Grimshaw. Relations with his ex-wife, Danielle, have been strained, especially since Theo announced his departure, devastating her and leading to interference from their children. So, when Theo discovers that Noah and Danielle are now together, his reaction is anything but calm. The looming question is: Is this relationship genuine, or does Noah harbor a sinister plan for Danielle, given his dark past with Theo and current drama with Todd? And is Danielle using Noah to wound Theo, fully aware of their entangled history?
Natalie Anderson, the actress behind Danielle, sheds light on this complex web of intentions, confirming a significant twist is indeed unfolding. She divulges Noah’s true motivations for pursuing her character, hints at Danielle’s own sincerity, and teases the “messy” scenes to come.
According to Anderson, Noah’s actions stem from a deep-seated disappointment in Theo’s life choices due to his devout religious beliefs. “Noah is angry and thinks if you don’t want to take care of this amazing family, I will,” Anderson reveals. “He is stepping up to the plate, looking after Danielle and the children, keeping them in the faith, providing a happy, stable relationship.” She emphasizes an “element of duty” from Noah, describing him as “very cozy and getting his feet under the table.” His primary goal, it seems, is to keep the family unit intact and ensure Danielle and the children do not question their faith. “There’s an agenda for Noah to protect this family unit from this awfulness that is happening to her, and be the hero,” Anderson confirms.
Regarding Danielle’s own intentions, Anderson explains a dual motivation. “One is trying to show Theo what he’s missing with his family life, this is what he’s throwing away,” she states. Beyond this, there’s an element of Danielle trying to fill a profound void. “Danielle and Theo were married for 19 years, that’s a huge amount of time. It’s a little bit of a rebound.” While Danielle cares for Noah, she’s “not completely committing wholeheartedly,” purposefully “drawing this out a little bit.” Her unwavering hope for Theo’s return is clear: “If there’s an opportunity to be around Theo, she will take it.” Ultimately, while she wants to do right by her children, the “right thing for her would be for their dad to come home, and she’s not going to give up on that.”
As expected, Anderson teases that the situation is about to escalate. “As you can imagine it does get messier and more heated. We fall into two camps between Danielle and Theo, and the children will be caught in the middle of that.” She notes the storyline is a realistic portrayal of many families navigating contentious divorces. “It’s one thing trying to sort it out between yourselves, but when it gets to that next level things becomes more weaponised. There are some calculating things coming up, I’m not sure the audience will still be on Danielle’s side after that!”
Will Noah’s true intentions be exposed, or will Danielle become an unwitting pawn in his long-game revenge against Theo?
