Who will Maxie choose?

Now that Nathan is back in Port Charles, General Hospital fans are sharing who they think is Maxie’s true love.

Spixie vs. Naxie

Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) met almost immediately after Spinelli (Bradford Anderson, who was named Soap Hub’s Performer of the Month in August) ended things with her at the end of 2013. She had hurt Spinelli more than once during their non-marriage – first by sleeping with a Franco (then played by James Franco), and again when she got pregnant with his child and tried passing it off as Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu’s (Alexa Havins).

When Spinelli left Port Charles, in came Nathan to save the day and steal Maxie’s heart. The pair fell in love, got married, and were expecting their first child when Nathan was shot and “killed” by Faison (Anders Hove).

It took years, but finally in 2023, Maxie and Spinelli found their way back to each other. They rekindled their love as Spinelli stepped in to help raise Maxie’s children – but not before Spinelli could try and reunite with his Maximista through a controllable dating app. In the end, Spixie got back together, and it wasn’t until Maxie recently fell into a coma that Spinelli realized he had missed his chance to ask her to marry him.

Now, as Spinelli reels over Nathan’s return and Nathan realizes he lost seven years with his wife and son, it appears the two men may be about to fight for Maxie’s heart all over again once she wakes up.

Soap Hub recently asked GH fans which supercouple they think is endgame, and while it was nearly a tie, one couple came out on top.

Many simply answered with Nathan, while some explained their reasoning. “Well her and Nathan are still married. I really hope she chooses Nathan,” one wrote.

Of course, Maxie and Spinelli are still an OG supercouple, with one fan commenting, “Spixie forever!” while another declared, “Spixie is superior.”
